2019 National Sexual Health Conference: Call for Abstracts OPENS

A record number of abstracts were submitted for the 2017 National Sexual Health Conference, with total submissions increasing by more than 65%.  For 2019, the number of available sessions and spots for workshops, roundtables and posters have been expanded, however, we anticipate that the abstract process will continue to be competitive.

Sexual Health is a critical issue in the United States, cutting across the fields of public health, reproductive health, disease prevention, clinical care, policy, advocacy, health equity, and the social determinants of health. The 2019 National Sexual Health Conference will share information, innovations, and advances in sexual health and develop conversations about supporting healthy sexuality in clinical and non-clinical settings for people across the lifespan.

All proposals should enhance sharing of information and skills development related to a broad spectrum of topics on sexual health, including, but not limited to, the following Pathways for Sexual Health:

• Prevention and Outreach

• Providers in care related to reproductive health, HIV, STDs, hepatitis, disease prevention, health promotion and sexual violence prevention.
• Primary and public health care providers
• Clinician prescribers: physicians, advance practice nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists
• Nurses, social workers, and counselors
• Mental health and substance use care providers
• Disease intervention specialists, outreach workers, case managers, and patient navigators
• School health and sexual education professionals
• State and local health professionals
• Health and Health Policy Advocates
