The webinar will feature presentations from Luis Mares, LMSW, National Community Mobilization Director, Latino Commission on AIDS and Dr. Ronald Valdiserri, Professor of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University.
Ronald O. Valdiserri, MD, MPH, is a professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. Prior to joining the faculty at Emory, he served as senior research associate and distinguished scholar in the Department of Health, Behavior, and Society at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2016–19). Before his academic appointments, Dr. Valdiserri worked for some 26 years in federal service, holding senior leadership positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; the Department of Veterans Affairs; and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, Department of Health and Human Services. He has published numerous scholarly articles on public health policy and practice and has authored/edited four academic texts related to HIV and LGBT health.
