Course Objectives:

  • Describe the purpose and benefits of self-testing for HIV and STIs.
  • Understand the components of an effective HIV self-testing program
  • Discuss various HIV self-testing program models and their practical application

 

Target Audience:
Physicians, PAs, NPs, nurses, and other health professionals who see patients with or vulnerable to STIs

 

Course Description:

The purpose of this community is to delve into the clinical aspects of STI prevention, diagnosis, and management and more fully understand the state-of-the-art techniques in managing our patients. Discussions will be case-based. The sessions will be organized and moderated by the St. Louis STI/HIV PTC but the floor will be open for discussion and participation with clinical colleagues from other health department clinics.

Course Format:

This course is offered as a live Zoom webinar. This format allows learners to see and hear faculty presentations while facilitating real-time interaction with faculty and other learners. Learners are encouraged to use the Q&A and chat functions within the platform. We encourage learners to participate with video on.
