Emergency Medicine Health Policy Symposium: “A Health System & Cultural Approach to Restoring the Joy in Medicine”
The principal factors of dis-satisfaction across many academic healthcare environments are strikingly similar. As many institutions struggle to improve their workplace environment, the concept is emerging that the goal should be a return of “joy” to our work.
This interdisciplinary symposium will discuss workplace factors previously identified by our faculty and staff as principal causes of dis-satisfaction, and propose potential solutions that have growing evidence for their ability to help bring joy back to our workplace.
