Preferred Audience: This training is for all healthcare professionals, including health educators, mental health providers, substance abuse professionals, social workers, case managers, and public health professionals.
Purpose: To offer providers insight into transactional sexual relationships through a root-cause analysis lens. This course is aimed at raising cultural competency when working with populations that engage in transactional sex.
- Define transactional sex
- Identify economic, social, political drivers, and dynamics of transactional sexual relationships
- Describe systems of stigma
- Review transactional sex impacts on HIV health outcomes
- Discuss framework for improving health outcomes of affected populations
