Assessment of Needs

The IAS–USA offers this state-of-the-art activity on the evolving challenges of managing sexually transmitted infections (STIs) as part of a nationwide continuing medical education (CME) effort for physicians. This webinar will review the current CDC recommendations regarding STI screening for youth, including those for specific populations deemed at high risk. Identification of pathogens, specific treatments, and vaccines (both available and in development) for prevention of STIs will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives

On completion of this webinar, learners will be able to:

  • Discuss the incorporation of STI screening in routine care
  • Review treatment recommendations for youth
  • Discuss use of vaccines in STI prevention

This advanced webinar is designed for physicians who are actively involved in HIV and STI care and research. It is also relevant for registered nurses, PharmDs, and other health professionals.
